HELP! We need you! Our Youth Ministry is growing by leaps and bounds and they are starting to outnumber us. If the students find out they could over take our volunteers, life will never be the same! There are many different ways of volunteering... we could get you so involved you actually sit next to the young people, or keep you so far away that you'll never have to see them! Also, if you think High Schoolers are too big, we've got plenty of room for help with our middle school students. Now that I've taken all your fears away, why don't you give me (Mike Sylvester) a call to see how best to plug you into being a friend, mentor, catechist, listener, and some of you will become the ping pong champions! Call 654-1757 ext. 12...... Please!!!

PARENTAL/GUARDIAN PERMISSION and LIABILITY WAIVER - Parental Release forms

Heads up to Parents of Middle and High Schoolers: As part of our continuing effort to keep our children safe, we encourage you to visit www.safeteens.com with your child for excellent information about the internet, cell phones, etc.

Did you know that www.myspace.com is a site where teens can set up their own web pages? Some students at Edwards are doing this as part of their keyboarding class. You will want to discus this with your child.

THE YOUTH GROUP NEEDS YOU!! Have you ever considered joining the Youth Group Core team? Things have not changed much since Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” It is a rare moment in parish life when we have more workers than we can use, especially when it comes to working with teenagers. We are currently seeking volunteers who feel called to serve through this ministry. So, you think you are not qualified? You don’t have enough knowledge of the Catholic faith? Think again. There are only two requirements: A heart for God, and a willingness to serve. That’s all I am asking. You don’t have to be twenty years old, or a theologian. For more information, or to sign up please contact me, Mike Sylvester, in the parish office at 654-1757 or via email at mikesylvester13@hotmail.com.
